Question Regarding Streaming

I tend to agree with you and have no problem with streaming. I think players who enter the tournament whould wxpect that if they do well they will be streamed and should not be allowed to opt out.
Others don't agree. A most famous example is that one of the greatest players in the history of the game, Nack Ballard, has said that he is not in facor of allowing people to stream and record his matches and that is at least one reason we have not seen him for years. I know other players who say they fell it is a distraction. Others argue that if they know they are being watched by the entire world and their play analyzed and made public, they dont feel free to be creative or "play the opponent."
So some consider being recorded or streamed is a major game-changer for them.
You and I and many others believe it is great for promotion of the game and tournaments, and most believe it is good to see an analysis of matches for many reasons. That is our opinion and that of most and will probsbly prevail, but I can certainly understand why some people dont like it or object to it snd feel it is a game-changer.
This is just one more thing that might cause us to lose a few people who dont agree, but clearly the majority and the people who want to promote the game believe it is necessary for the greater good.
Stick is right--the majority is not always right, and just because the majority votes one way and that becomes the rule or policy does't mean people don't have the right to try to change the rule or vote with their feet.
