24/23 13/7 is better.

I want to attack White's straggler, so bringing another checker into the zone is useful artillery. Splitting to the 23-pt doesn't invite attack and provides a lot of numbers that make an advanced anchor( 23 34 56). or provide multiple flyshots if White needs to leave a blot in the outfield. Or at least the split isn't threatened immediately, as we have the stronger board and White has more to lose in a hitting exchange.
