Interview Questions - Format

While I'm not opposed to video interviews, the problem is that these interviews are done over Webex or JoinMe or Skype or something similar. As any of you who have watched these videos can attest to, that often leaves each participant at a different volume than the other. Also, since it's done over an internet connection, there is a slight delay that can often cause both people to talk over each other not realizing the other has said something. It's kind of messy because of the medium it's done through.
I would also like a lot of the interview to be thought out ahead of time instead of off the cuff answers. I don't mind losing a bit of spontaneity in order to have the answer the interviewee would have wanted. Clear cut and crystal. This is even more true if the native language of the person being interviewed is not English.
Having the interview in print also allows skipping through parts that you aren't interested in. As Scotty pointed out, this format:

is problem free if you don't want to hear the interviewee talk about the rules for example. You can see the question highlighted and in bold and skip over the lengthy answer if it doesn't interest you. This also allows you to come back and reread (rather than rewatch at a point in a video) any parts you may want to reference again. It allows for the insertion of links or even positions too I think easier than a video though in a video if any bg position discussion did come up they could manipulate a problem live and discuss whereas that wouldn't work nearly as well on paper.
For these reasons I have a high preference for the written word. Doing both is also a possibility.
