For money game positions with no gammons poosible it is a given that the TP Dead is 25%. TP Live is always said to be fixed at 20% too. However the position below is interesting and widely known to be an optional take.
The two interesting things for me are:
1. If you used the same methodology for calculating the TP Live as in Match Play you would figure that opponent's recube to 4 is the final poosile cube. My TP on that is 0.25 so opponent's TP Live could be calculated on that basis to be 3/4 x 1/4 = 3/16 or exactly the 0.1875 he has.
2. Make a change to the rules so that now throws that fail to bear off from here do not move to the 1,2 or 3 point but require the checker to stay where it is on the 6 point. Now you have the perfect theoretical model where every time the cube goes back and forth the underdog has exactly the 20% wins he needs for an optional take of a fully live cube.
