Just do the calculations:

Cubeless win chance: If opponent misses he would surely be off with one more shake. Thus for opponent to win there must be a missing roll 1/4 and then a good roll 3/4. 1/4 x 3/4 = 3/16.

Cubeful win chance. If you take then 3/4 of the time you lose 2 points immediately. The other 1/4 of the time it is a last roll situation which is a double and optional take/pass since you win 3/4 of the time. Since equity is the same let's assume opponent passes. So 1/4 of the time you win 2 points. Overall equity is -1 the same as double pass.
