I agree with you if that I knew the opponent(s) wouldn't extend me the same courtesy I would have no problem sticking to the letter of the law. Your example of legal moves is a perfect example where I, by default, play legal moves even when I forget to clarify at the beginning of a match. I know other plays, such as Ray, don't play legal moves so if we were to play and he were to butcher something I would let it stand.

Phil did not say his opponents would not have shown him or MCG mercy if either of them had committed the foul. He said neither him nor MCG would have asked for it. The opponents would be complete hypocrites if they bitch, moaned, and complained and also admitted they wouldn't extend the same courtesy. I don't believe that's the case. I believe at least some would have.

I've never asked to be in a chouette and been denied because of who I am. Must mean I'm a real fish.
