Mine are based on tests with XG

With a lot of help from John O'Hagan, I have made and use my own chart for live cube takpoints, based on medium races. For money it is 21.5 which assumes a cube vig of 3.5, which is the difference between 21.5 and the dead cube take point of 25%. Note that is about 68% of the difference between the dead cube take point and the optimum live cube take point shown in XG.
Of course I know that the shorter the race, the higher the take point, and I know non-races and certain types of positions have less cube vig and therefore I mentally adjust higher, but I think this is a good starting place.
In the position below, the taker has just over 21.5 and it is a bare take, and that shows us that at least in this length of race, XG is using something pretty close to 21.5. I have tested my numbers at different scores and get the same, excellent results.
