Did the rules in the past work 'well from your standpoint'? If not, which ones didn't work?

1. Three times there was a question about a die on a checker being supported by a vertical surface. I used Pat Gibson to assist on these (it can be a very close call) and players accepted the rulings without argument.

How much time would you say was taken for each ruling? This involves the players trying to decide for themselves if the dice are cocked, unable to do so now coming and getting the TD then you getting Patrick to assist you and finally going over and making a ruling.
