Yes, but maybe not so much if you can make the move and start to reach towards the dice or clock?

"How significant is this tell thing anyways? If more than a tiny amount maybe backgammon players should get better at not having them."

Of course, there are those who feel that this is a skill part of the game that we miss out on. (Though I might not agree.)
