Touch Move

A strict touch moves rule would produce absurd consequences in my opinion. It seems commonplace to do stufff like straightening up the checkers while pondering a move, and is anyone going to seriously suggest that if I get an opening 61, play 8/7 then brush against the remaining checkers on 8 that I'm now committed to 8/7 8/2. On the other hand, I would be fine with a rule not allowing a legal 8/7 to be taken back once I'd let go of it on the 7 point.
