In Response To: P-40 Given a Most Prestigious Award (Phil Simborg)

Way to go P-40!!!

I love my P-40 board and every single time I whip mine out to play on, I get at least a thousand compliments on how cool, classy and modern it is.
Each and every P-40 that I see is even nicer than the next. I want them all!!!

I would really love to comment about the USBGF goings on regarding the Tom Bruckner / P-40 situation, but I cant, because it would be improper for me to do so as a USBGF Board member. I will, HOWEVER, offer my opinion, since "other" Board members (I wont name names) have absolutely NO PROBLEM airing the USBGF's laundry on this site and other social media sites. So it *must* be OK! I was probably the only person on the USBGF BOD to remain supportive of P-40 and not want to cut ties with them. I did not think the Backgammon playing general public would give 2 shits about any of this, and I certainly do not. I also stated similarly to what Carter said...None of us are without fault or misdeeds.

I applaud the UKBGF for giving this great award to P-40. They deserve it. Geoffrey Parker has been the recipient of this award previously. I have played on Geoffrey Parker boards. Yeah, they are nice, but they are not my cup of tea, which I typically drink with my pinkie up. They really don't play that well. The dice spin too much and sometimes the colors blend all into one color if you have a board that is say, blue on blue, as an example. I love the P-40 design and all their cool colors, innovations and the infinite amount of logos/art work that can be put on one. Aside from all that, P-40's play like a dream! That is what is most important to me. Also the company, P-40, is one of the most generous sponsors in helping make the game we love even better than it is.

Congratulations P-40!!!
I look forward to owning a second one in the future!

Sincerely,
Michelle
