Yes, and Tom Buckner will be producing the hardware and the software for the transcription will come from other partners, and XG has agreed to allow us to access XG on a main server so we won't have to have a computer with every board and game. But it will also tie in with club and on line play as well as with tournaments all over the world.

The automatic transcription and reporting of matches is just one small piece of the entire, bigger program. That is all great for tournaments and streaming, but I am much more excited about the thrust to find and bring in new players, both on line and live, and that will "trickle up" to the tournaments very quickly. Greatly increased numbers will result in not only a lot more people playing backgammon, but increased revenue and increase sponsorship...all of which is needed to promote the game to the public and to make tournaments more attractive to all.
