Suggestion for XG's next version: dynamic position setup

I enjoy very much seeing the variants of positions some of you post here.

Sometimes when I am analyzing a position/play with XG, I would like to do my own variants right then and there. I have not been able to figure out how to do this with XG. I don't think XG allows this approach. If I am wrong, please let me know how you do it. Instead, I have to open a new XG window and set up a variant manually.

It would be much cleaner to just jump to setup from the position in question, so that variant creation would be a matter of moving one or two checkers instead of setting a position from scratch.

What do you think of suggesting this feature to Xavier, i.e., allowing the user to go into position setup mode at any time, giving the user the opportunity to create variants dynamically.

Thoughts?
