Racing adjustments and comparison rules

I like the Keith Count adjustments and use them all the time. But I want to point out that the adjustments are largely independent of the comparison rule.
In fact, the Keith comparison rule for point of last take (increase roller by one-seventh rounding down and subtract 2) gives nearly identical results as the Trice comparison rule (increase roller by one-tenth and add 1). Here's a table comparing the two and the Gold Standard result (a more direct estimate based on the one-checker model):
Leader Trice LT Keith LT GS 65 73 72 73 70 78 78 79 75 84 83 84 80 89 89 90 85 95 95 95 90 100 100 101 95 106 106 106 100 111 112 112 105 117 118 117 110 122 123 122 115 128 129 128 120 133 135 133 Pretty similar, no? I find adding ten percent much easier than adding one-seventh, so I always use the Keith Count adjustments and apply the Trice comparison rule to the results.
I don't mean to argue for what is most accurate -- that's a tough question to answer with many variables to consider. And the differences are small.
So my takeaway is that you don't have to memorize a new comparison rule in order to use the excellent Keith adjustments.
