There was Holland Rule, which was implemented for all post-Crawford games shortly after Crawford has inserted his Rule. Nowadays nobody knows about this rule and nowhere is used. We don't need implement extra specific conditions or rules to give the best players more possibilities to win the match or the tournament. It is wrong idea and unfair way to promote this game by competition. What's more we need to implement equal start and game conditions for all participants of the tournament, which are proposed in my book "Fair Backgammon Tournament Rules", including balanced scoring system for the game and the match too. An example of such tournament is the new competition format "BE THE BEST - BEAT XG".
