My first instinct is to go 5-away, so 18/17 11/8. That's so often correct vs 6-away anchor, I might not even think about alternatives.

I wonder though.

Staying on 18 offers White more hitting numbers, but if she exposes with 5x, we will have solid number of shots, and also she will be forced to burn pips if she rolls 41, 43, 32, 31 and 21.

Staying on 17 offers White less shots, but also gives us less if she exposes with 6x, since she can play 2 down. Also, makes her burn pips with 43, 42, 31 and 21.

Stopping at 16 lets her bring 2 down with 5-low and 6-low, and hit with all 4s, which leaves only 32 and 21 as pips-burning number.

Since the race is close, I wonder if we shouldn't also look at those pips-burning numbers.

They'd also suggest stopping at 17 over 16. On the other hand, stopping at 16 offers White more exposing high-low numbers (61, 62, 63, 51, 52, 53) than 17 (61, 62, 63, 64).
