Nice to hear from you, Mary, even if seldom. :)

In creating the button puzzles, I've test-rolled a lot of 6/off 2/1 vs 6/off 3/2 positions millions of trials, sometimes needed to either converge to 50% or diverge to 100%. I'm convinced that the problem is either misplay/s (as you suggested, though I haven't spent enough effort to find them) or something systematic.
