in the Australian Championships this year, a potential time problem was developing on the 2nd day. Because of this they pulled out the clocks and made everyone use them. It was great.

From next year, in the New Zealand Championships, we will be using clocks for the final 8.

I understand the apprehension some players have about them, but once you use them you can easily see the many benefits and not having to wait 9 minutes (no joke it happened to me) for your opponent to decide to pass a double.

I totally support the use of clocks in tournaments.
