Changing XG's strength setting

A friend recently informed me he is beating XG 329–209. I asked if he had checked to see at what level XG is playing. He doesn't know how (though he says he asks questions and XG seems to answer them with rollouts). I don't either, as I haven't played against XG.

Anyway, I'm inquiring for him: How can one check and/or change XG's playing strength settings? (The simpler answer, the better.)
