Sorry, too late. This seems to be a zero-sum game, i.e. your opponent has exactly the same incentives as you, just multiplied by -1. That is good, otherwise analysis would be much more difficult. Here, it seems to me that the first step to the correct strategy is to construct an asymmetric MET for matches with a one sided Crawford rule: when your opponent reaches one away, doubling will be allowed, when you do, it will not be, as usual. When you have that MET, play the match always pretending that your opponent has 6 points more than he actually has, or in other words, pretend that you start the match at 11a:5a, which, in a rather obvious sense, you do.
