Hi Maik,

Thanks for the input. I asked the original question because I don't know my METs or even how to apply them accurately over the board - I play more by instinct. At least I was on the right track realizing that cube actions would be crucial at 'the score'.

So, I guess I was after a layman's precis of strategies I could adopt. Jeom and Boop provided great advice which gave me 2 gameplans in the pinch. Your advice "pretend that you start the match at 11a:5a" is still very much appreciated and is optimal for players more advanced than me.
