I can across a variant in which there is no doubling after bear off has started.
I am posing the question as a general brainstorm as to how this should be tackled. My immediate feeling was to double (assuming NMS) is one was a favorite going into the bear off.
Other consideration would be to probably go with the dead cube take point if bear off in the take decision.
Im quite interested on opinions on however both earlier checker play and cube decisions as affected. I assume that early ace point, backgame and deuce point take.. would be drops even sooner.. and should be doubled even sooner due to that. This is because the recube vig normally comes after bearoff has started and now one could not recube.
thoughts?
