The Backgammon Giants voting deadline is getting close and I think it can be interesting to take a look at who has been playing really well over the last couple of years:
Stick on top! Very impressive!
Mochy has played amazingly well in 2017! Earlier postings also highlighted this fact.
I used a threshold of minimum 10 matches for these lists.
Other interesting things to note:
- Stick is missing in 2017! What happened?
- Fernando Braconi in second place!
- Thomas Tenland went from 9'th to 4'th place!
- Sebastian Wilkinson and Karen Sarkisyan went straight into top 10!
- Matt Cohn-Geier is also missing in 2017!
- Gerry Tansey entering in 12'th place!
How many conclusions to draw from these lists might be a bit questionable though. Comparing 10 matches from one player verus 100 matches for another might not be entirely fair. Cherrypicking is possible. PR isn't everything. What else?
Also these lists aren't final either as old matches may surface from these years over time. Got some unpublished matches? You know what to do with them! :-)
