Prime vs prime - RO & comment

I got this one right. I quickly discarded 8/2 because, well, it's 8/2. On top of that the point we really want to make is the 7pt so if we were going to leave a blot anywhere with the six it would be on our 7pt.
Now where to play the three? Picking up our now slotted bar point seemed awful because a six is so good for our opponent anyway. We're also of course slightly down in the race and our position isn't likely to improve unless we take some risks. Our side of the board isn't super flexible like our opp's.
Not wanting to pick up the blot, not wanting to take the spare off our 8pt because that should be used for covering our slot and creating a 5 prime when missed, not wanting to go super blotty and give up a monstrous double sixes, 6/3 seemed clear. I've also seen this type of position a ton which certainly helps. Recognizing the deuce duplication on the other side of the board makes the play easier to make and knowing that even if the opponent does roll a deuce that hits he isn't entirely out of the woods. We still have a good chance of entering immediately and making a 5 prime or putting him on the roof with chances to push him back keeping up the attack or making the prime next turn.
