In Response To: The second 4-1 (bluedice)

I see two problems with this play.

1. It really doesn't leave us anything to cover the slotted 4pt next turn without compromising the good part of our offensive position.


2. When the opponent hits after your play he gets to hit from the point he'd most love to hit from assuming he's hitting with an ace. It's tough for him to wiggle out of our inner board/outer blockade but if he can hit + split + put us on the bar v. a four point board (with other blots to pick up) it will certainly be much easier to escape.

There is also another play that involves duplication and leaves us seemingly more flexible.
