When is a different bot useful?

I "use" GNUbg exclusively! I say "use" because 2 years ago the only thing I would do was to pass on my online games just to get my rating. When I got more serious, I just couldn't trust what the bots were doing without getting to the root. That was really tough for me because I didn't know the programming language of GNUbg, but anyway slowly slowly I think I now know a lot. Must say that those who designed GNUbg did an amazing work. Still needs improvements though e.g. it's beyond me to accept that GNUbg provides so much information windows without giving the option to the user to extract/copy that info in text files. (rollout stats, distribution of rolls, etc). Generally I ind GNUbg, simpler, much closer to the basic ideas, and easier to use.
I installed XG sequentially on every computer I could (about 5 times until they expired) just to check it. I am sorry to say the only pro I found is it's speed in rollouts. About 4 times faster than GNUbg. Other than that, those two seeming like cut limbs, dead hands caused me nightmares :-)
