Is there a reasonable play here that leaves three blots? I'm not seeing it.

Anyway, my takeaway in hindsight is that the next point blue wants to make is the seven, not the four. 13/9 6/5 aims three builders at the seven while my play (8/4 6/5) doesn't allow many ways to make the seven. Or very many to make the four without blowing up the blockade.
