Erm.. not really. Both GNUbg and XG use the error rate mEMG. The former as it is, the latter divides it by 2 and makes it a PR.
On Checker play: Both GNU and XG divide the total checker play error by the number of unforced moves. (staying on bar is a forced move so it doesn't count)
On Cube play: Both GNU and XG divide total error on Cubes by the number of close or actual cube decisions. But they differ on the criteria of what is close or actual.
That's all.
Generally the higher someone's "Performance" is, the better s/he is in what he is doing. However with XG it's exactly the opposite! :-\
