The only backgammon tournament that I am attending this year.

As some people know I am taking a break from virtually all backgammon for a couple of years to focus on my business ventures.

I have been to some magnificent tournaments over the years – the Nordic Open, Monte Carlo, Cyprus, Santa Fe, Rotterdam, Prague, Cannes, UK Open… to name a few.

By far my favourite 1-day tournament is the Scope Backgammon Tournament that takes place annually at the magnificent RAC Club on Pall Mall.

The Scope Tournament combines many of my favourite things: backgammon, brunch, great people, great setting, positive equity raffle, luxury auction, unlimited champagne, afternoon tea. Non-playing partners can also come along and have a really good time.

All proceeds go to a wonderful cause – Scope. Scope is a charity that exists to make the UK a place where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else. They do some truly amazing work.

The tournament is on Sunday 18th March (a couple of weeks).

I could not recommend it enough.
