Status after almost a quarter of a year (12 weeks).
973 players from 43 countries have achieved 22.380,71 points in a total of 13 tournaments under 7 organisations + 1 government. 😎
In general the new idea (concept) is excepted and embraced world wide. A lot of ideas comes from all sides. Appreciated. The most common "Is there a list of upcoming approved tournaments?". That is a good one. Right now there is no list of approved tournaments. Tournament directors write to our inbox and ask for approval (Blackpool, Brighton, ....). Yes, they are approved, so please go visit them and earn YOUR spot on the list.
Merit International is also approved. Arda have helped us a lot with his tournaments and guarantees all of them will be reported to the ranking list. Remember to go visit aaaall of them. 😀
How do we get the informations?
1) From a tournament director
2) From an enthuastic spy 😉
3) Well, sometimes we pick them up online (mostly USA)
We spend a lot of time hunting down the played tournaments. To make a list of the upcoming ones might be too big a task in this early stage of the project. This will happen in future. Time will be our allied.
We get a lot of help from enthusiasts which we really appreciate.
In future we will make quarterly updates on this facebookpage, which you are welcome to share in your backgammon groups.
Sometimes we'll also bring extra updates in case of extra ordinary achievements, e.g. every time we get a new number one in the world which very well could be the case in a fortnight when the Nordic Open is finished (unless Jack Edelson ends in top-4).
Have patience and spread out the word of this project. ♥ Don’t hesitate to remind YOUR tournament director to report results (Championship & Super JP).
