Congratulations to Dmitriy Obukhov, president of BMAB

Congratulations to Dmitriy Obukhov, newly elected President of the Backgammon Masters Awarding Body (BMAB). http://bgmastersab.com He is a BMAB Grandmaster Class 3 and has organized multiple BMAB-USA events. He recently won the 24th Ohio State Championships, and is listed #36 on the Giants of Backgammon 2017 list. He indicates his plans as the newly-elected President of BMAB are to build relationships with other organizations and federations who share similar goals, involve more volunteers, and promote greater transparency. The U.S. Backgammon Federation looks forward to working with Dmitriy and BMAB to provide recognition to those achieving grandmaster status and to promote more opportunities to gain experience points and ranking by playing in BMAB-USA events. BMAB-USA events will be held in conjunction with the upcoming Cherry Blossom Backgammon Championship http://cherryblossombackgammon.com/ and the Michigan Summer Championship http://www.flintbg.com/michsum.html
