DQ: Why was my move so bad?

When I slotted the 5 point and came down from the midpoint I thought I was having the best of both worlds: increasing the chance to make either the 5 point or a high inner board point. I realized that this would mean leaving 3 blots, but my opponent's position did not seem terribly dangerous.

I will appreciate your explaining what's wrong with my move.
