BMAB Rule Change

The maintenance/recovery period is now over and BMAB accepts individual applications. Please contact me if you wish to make one.

Streamed Grandmasters matches will be no longer added to Grandmasters records automatically. This change is necessary because in the past not all such matches were transcribed and sent to BMAB. In this situation, BMAB cannot guarantee there is no cherrypicking. Those Grandmasters who would like their streamed matches counted can do so via individual applications. This change will not affect matches played by Grandmasters against other applicants. In other words, when an applicant plays a match against a Grandmaster, such match will be added to both records. This rule is effective immediately.

There may be tournaments where an organizer/TD wishes to make all streamed Grandmaster's matches counted toward their records. BMAB will be open to such initiatives if transcription of all such matches can be guaranteed.
