US Team in World Team Championship in Gibraltar

The European backgammon federation has changed name to World Backgammon Federation. Each year a nation hosts our championship and from now on it is a World Team Championship (past four times it was only European Team Championship). I would love to see a team from USA at the tournament (note that the event also has an individual championship. Both the team and individual championship have no registration fee and lots of added money (27500€ in total). I know several american players have requested that the Team championship opened up for teams from all over the world - now we need you to form a strong team and join the Championship.
To join the championship your federation must join the World Backgammon Federation (Yearly fee 150€) - We have many goals for backgammon in the world. Unifying the rules, promoting backgammon as a mind sport and handling the bidding from nations to host our Championship (yes it travels around the world). 2015 Croatia, 2016 Hungary, 2017 Denmark, 2018 Gibraltar... 2019 ??? to be decided during general assembly in July.
