Pasko comes up with maybe the toughest variation yet

Jim has come up with what I think is one of the most complex and interesting variations. I call it PaskoTortureGammon.

First you roll to determine who goes first.

Let’s assume Player A wins.

Both Player A and Player B take one dice and place it under their cup, and they get to choose what number is up.

Then Player B reveals his die. Player A, before revealing his, may choose whether to double or not. If Player A doubles, player B must take or pass before he sees Player A’s dice.

After the cube action is decided, Player B shows his die and moves accordingly. Doubles do count on the opening roll.

Now, it is Player B’s turn, and again, each player places their die under their cup, and again, Player B sees Player A’s roll and then decides whether to double.

You can see for yourself the many nuances and intrigues this game offers.

Oh, and like most of the Bluff Gammon games, I suggest playing with two cubes….and of course, you can only turn one at a time.
