Some of you may have already heard about it but a two weeks or so ago I launched Backgammon Studio Heroes, the next generation of the Backgammon Studio online match server.
After some initial crisis management of bigger and smaller problems I think it has started to stabilise and become as awesome as I was aiming for! Or as one user put it: "Thanks for the best BG-site ever!" :-)
The user interface has gotten a facelift from the old server with many new tricks added:
The list of features is pretty decent! I'd hate to put up a comparison with other sites but I think Heroes will compare well!

So how can you enter the server? Unfortunately allowing unrestricted registrations without any checks had some bad sideeffects on the old server so this time around registrations are manually approved. The plan is to be invite only where you need an invitation from someone who already has access but for now I'm fleible and will allow registrations unless I see blatant attempts to hide identiy.
The old server is still there and it reached a fun milestone of 11111 matches in the database!
