USBGF cancels 2020 ABT Points Race

ABT 2020 Points

The USBGF has decided that the COVID-19 pandemic and shelter in place orders has made it necessary to cancel the ABT 2020 points race. However, points earned thus far in 2020, and points that may yet be earned in 2020, will be credited to the ABT participant's lifetime achievement totals. No decisions regarding ABT 2021 points have been made.

I asked for clarification on the why or how they came to that decision and got crickets for a response. Seems weird to me. Thoughts?
