BGOnline preview bug

The "Message Preview" feature here on BGO is very nice, but I've noticed a strange bug. The plus or minus symbol (±) shows up fine when you preview, but then when you post the message (or click preview the second time), it gets mangled. That is, the first time I click "Preview Message" I'll get something like

± 0.015

but then when I post the message, the plus/minus symbol turns into an "a" with an ogonek, like this:

± 0.015

Any good ideas how to fix this or work around it? What I do now is to click "Preview Message" to check that everything looks okay, and then I click the back button on my browser before clicking on "Post Message," but this can be clumsy if I find myself making multiple edits.
