Hi; I posted a couple of positions on rgbg, and got several answers for one of them. I'm reposting the second one here as I didn't get as many hints about it there.
Another example just occured where leaving the midpoint wouldn't even come to my mind (huge equity difference here...). Still trying to fix my thinking on this.
Here I initially played bar/22 13/4, and ended up finding out the right play, but I'm not sure it would come up OTB (read: I'm sure it wouldn't...), and/because I'm having a hard time understanding this huge equity loss. Below the first one, I'm reposting my initial position too, in case both relate somehow, and since I kinda got the point for #1 (second here).
I'd be grateful if Stick could post a couple of what he considers are "most telling" reference positions, and maybe guidelines where it's right to clear the midpoint.
