Giants of Backgammon – Points scoring system

I am looking for a detailed explanation how the ballot for the Giants is conducted.

Three questions:

1st When a ballot sheet filled with 32 nominees is returned, how are these selections processed?

I assume that there is a points scoring system that works something like follows: the number one selection is given x(1) points, the number two x(2) points and so on. What are the values for x(1), x(2), … x(32)?

2nd I assume all votes have equal weight, is that so?

3rd Who is invited to vote?
