I have many rules for backgammon but it's safe to say you're wondering about Tim's recent post. I believe it was on Gammonvillage where I first shared this rule. Basically, at 3a 7a or greater (3a 8a, 3a 9a, etc...) as the leader you shouldn't double when there's still significant contact (gammons) for either side. In other words, as the leader you can find cubes in holding games, races, etc...but try finding a cube anywhere else and the penalty involved will be a painful PR.

As for posting with XG, this link should have everything you need. Any questions outside of that just let me know.
