Monte Carlo -- Go Ed O'Laughlin !!

Only Ed O'Laughlin remains among the Americans in the final sixteen.

Of the six Americans in the round of 64, Freedman, Chamanara, and O'Laughlin got to the round of 32 and only Ed made it to the final 16.

Other recent big name casualties include Mochi, Tardieu, Peter Jes Thompson, Wachtel.

Big names left that I recognize are Trabolt, Royset, Guedj.

Ed plays Robert Lindborn of Sweden in this round and, possibly, Trabolt in the next round.
