Be sure to know the resignation rules. There are some ways using that. As an example, suppose you have 15 checkers on ace point with extremely low win percentage vs opponent with fewer checkers spread out in homeboard. It could be a miscule resignation error for you and you deprive opponent of some easy decisions.
