Pay later. If you pay now and don't get hit, you will still have to safety those two blots and then win against a reasonable timed acepoint game. If you pay later, White might have to leave an ace shot with some of his 6s and 5s or weaken his board.

Of course you're far from dead if you pay now and get hit but I don't think the gain when it works is worth the risk when it doesn't.
