Behind in the race with more checkers back points toward bold. White has the stronger board, and that points to safe.

So, bold wins the vote 2-1. What's the bold play? Whacking two with 9/4* 6/1* is pretty bold and I won't be surprised if it's the bot play, but simply unstacking the midpoint and fighting for the four point with 9/4* looks more playable; leaving two homeboard blots against a three point board seems too risky for my tastes.

Stepping up to the 18 point is also a bold move, and in combination with 8/4* is worth a good look. Magriel cautions against coming utg, so I'm wary of that play. But it might be the bot move.

Overall, 13/4* seems most thematic - play boldly, unstack the mid, slot the next point you want to make, and keep a lid on the number of return shots.
