Maybe the Pressure, the Money, and the Spotlight are taking a toll

In Match 6, determining Koca's opponent, the on-line qualifier reportedly missed a pointing 5-2 play that would have put the opponent on the roof against a 5 point board with huge gammon chances. And a 2-cube in play. The guy went on to lose the match.

So, Bob get the tourney series qualifier, Olsen.

Sounds as though 3 of the first six matches involved huge, obvious blunders.

Maybe the format is generating the pressure and excitement they wanted -- though perhaps not the best backgammon.

Still not sure if the matches are clocked but I'm thinking they are not.
