Well, let's see how many of these I can remember.
Up 7-3, Neil is stuck on my 1-2 with a checker slotting my 3 and eventually forces me to hit a 6th checker, immediately rolls the 32 and gets himself into a crushed 2-3 game instead of a crushed 1-2 game.

Later, same game, after 54, 65, double fives again, and probably some more 5s thrown in there:

And of course Neil hits me with his best, 5-4, to hit and cover. I dance, Neil rolls 44 (played 23/11 20/16), I dance again, Neil cubes me. I can't possibly be passing. So, instead of me gammoning Neil, he wins the two points I was going for, and we go to gammon save. GNU says it isn't a double, but it looked good to me OTB since if he brings the builders down into his outfield I probably pass, with all my missing 2s. On the other hand the killed checkers on the deuce and the ace don't help Neil here. A rollout might change this one, or maybe not, but there's no way I can pass this cube.

Neil also picks up the blot on the mid and eventually makes the 9 point, I hit him loose a couple of times to buy time to extricate my checkers and get play in the outfield, and also because I don't have good alternatives. I really don't want 5 checkers in his home board but I can't find 6s or 3s in my dice cup to save my life. There's plenty of those nickels, though:

Next roll, I roll a 52 and Neil misses me. Then I have a 43 and a choice between running into the outfield or safetying, and I choose to run out and hit, with the comment "I don't know what to do here". One or two of White's back checkers I think is in my outfield by now, but it's still right to run out and hit, according to GNU eval.

He ended up breaking his outside points in order to point on me on the ace, and then tries to make the deuce. I roll a good 42 from the bar though, which reduces my risk of being gammoned to a mere 55%. I'm hoping he'll dance on my two point board for about 27 rolls but he's not cooperating. I'd love to have the bar of course, but just the bar without the 4 point or the 8 point or the 9 point isn't going to be nearly enough, so I figure I should just try to get lucky and make some points and hold him with my ace point holding game. Still, making the bar looks better to me now, as I have some real chances to build a winning prime if he misses me, and he misses me 75% of the time. My play is pretty weak, I just figured safety first with his board the way it is. Lesson here is pay no heed to safety at DMP, although making the bar may be better even for money.
Neil comes in with a 46 which would have missed, escapes the other checker, and I slot and build a perfectly timed prime and wait for my shot.
