Everyone talks a good game but ...............

Bob Koca bought a clock, took it to Madison, and, to my knowledge, offered to play with the clock in every one of his matches. Kudos to Bob -- he is a deliberate player and suggesting the use of a clock is not something he does to give himself an advantage, it is probably to his disadvantage.

Now Bob can confirm the actual final totals, but, to my observant eye, I think two of his opponents agreed to the clock in his first nine matches of the Swiss tourney -- one of the two was me, so I'm sure about the use in that match.

I think I'll buy a clock also and follow Bob's lead by having it with me and suggesting its use in all of my matches -- starting with Denver. Maybe if more of us do the same we might get more players accustomed to their use and achieve our ultimate objective of clocking all matches.
