Well, I am fairly new to the backgammon world, so this may be a bad question, but wouldn't 23/21 give white more opportunity to point on you? Right now his only rolls that make a point on your runners are 4-5, 4-6, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6, and 5-6 whereas with 23/21 he points on you with 5-6, 2-3, 2-4, 3-4, 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, and 6-6.

By leaving checkers on 23 and 24 if those do get pointed on you actually come off the bar in better shape than if your checker on 21 gets pointed on.

Please tell me if I'm way off here... like I said I'm just learning more advanced play and am not offended by criticism.
