GNU Vista problem

I would like to experiment with some different match equity tables in GNU. When I went to make the changes in my new Quad running on Vista I found that I was not allowed to make changes in the tables. Neither was I allowed to load a table that was not in the required directory. I am guessing that this was one sort of security feature or another. Does anyone have any ideas for a workaround that would allow loading a new table?
